why we work

The children in the world’s south do not enjoy a level of life sufficient to allow them to develop physically, mentally, spiritually, morally and socially.
Often parents do not manage to ensure the living conditions necessary for their children’s development. Many children in the world’s south are denied the right to go to school because they are economically exploited with work which is harmful to their health and which puts their lives at risk on a daily basis.

Our aimsIn 1989 the General United Nations Assembly adopted the convention on the rights of children. Drawing inspiration from the Convention, in particular from articles 27 and 32, which respectively tackle the issues of physical, mental and spiritual development and the economic exploitation, Intervita launched a campaign to inform and raise awareness of this issue.
In addition, Intervita is directly involved on the land in the countries in which these rights are systematically denied.
