TO PROMOTE THE ADOPTION AND EFFICIENT APPLICATION OF CONCEPTS RELATING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF PROTECTING AND DEFENDING THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN
STRATEGIC LINE 1. The sexual commercial exploitation of children (SCEC)
To encourage the creation of policies preventing and protecting against SCEC and steps for the recovery, rehabilitation and re-insertion of child victims of sexual exploitation with setting up victim welcome and rehabilitation centres, integrating the prospect of gender into all actions taken. To stimulate sensitisation to the context, causes and consequences of SCEC.
STRATEGIC LINE 2. Child labour
To fight against child labour, encouraging alternative education and the uprooting of the worst forms of child labour, in the framework of reference of the strategy of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and through the International Programme for the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC).
STRATEGIC LINE 3. Domestic child violence
To help prevent and protect children against violence in all social environments, with particular attention to the family nucleus with the creation of social networks end sensitisation of civil society.
STRATEGIC LINE 4. Street children
To protect and uphold the rights of children living on the street, through actions on three levels: direct interventions with street children, capacity building, collaboration and coordination with the players involved in the action. Involvement of the political world and sensitisation of civil groups.
STRATEGIC LINE 5. Political protection of children
To implement policies and procedures designed to protect children and keep them free from harm.
STRATEGIC LINE 6. Integration of children's rights
Political sensitisation and collaboration for the integration of children’s rights in public policies. Integration of children’s rights in the work of Intervita Onlus, both during the project and in day-to-day internal operations.
